William Blake, the visionary artist, saw the diagram of sight as an icon for an intellectually passive people who don't question the reality of the images imposed on them. And that was almost 200 years before the arrival of TV. Evolution is usually considered under this modern illusion of objectivity: the facts that prove it are laid out in neatly labeled rows of fossilized remains, and preserved in museums with the reverence once reserved only for the relics of St. Peter. However, our open minded "objectivity" excludes some of the most important questions- such as what kind of human beings result from this evolution, and are they anything like us?
